About Allison Pilling:
Allison Pilling is a South African artist whose work is inspired by the beauty of nature, the energy of light, and the emotional resonance of colour. Working predominantly in large format, her oil paintings draw on the influence of the old masters while remaining rooted in contemporary expression. Each piece is created to offer a contemplative, uplifting experience, inviting viewers to pause, connect, and find joy through art.
Now based in the Cape Winelands, Allison has studied under respected mentors and refined her practice through numerous workshops. Her work has been exhibited in South Africa and internationally, and is sold through exhibitions, galleries, commissions, and online. She recently founded Butterfly Art Studio, a curated fine art print platform dedicated to bringing uplifting, accessible art into homes and workspaces.
